Mersey Sports Medicine can provide your club/team with individual athlete assessments, supervised rehabilitation programmes, full or part time medical staff, advice on staff recruitment or simply one off event medical cover.
MSM is headed by Dr Jones, who has been working in elite sport for over 20 years. He is currently Head of Medical Services for British Cycling and a former England Rugby Senior Team Doctor. Additionally, Dr Jones has worked as a Doctor with Liverpool Football Club, Gloucester Rugby and the English Institute of Sport. The experience of Dr Jones makes the MSM team acutely aware of what makes a good sports medic and therefore only deploy Doctors and Physiotherapists of the highest level.
Our team are all professionally registered, annually appraised across the whole scope of their practice and maintain an appropriate programme of continuing professional development so you can be sure that you and your athletes are receiving the highest level of care.
INDEPENDENT CONSULTATIONS
Dr Jones is able to provide comprehensive independent fitness to participate and contract pre-signing medicals. He provides independent injury assessment reports for athletes, clubs and agents through his clinics at Spire Liverpool Hospital, Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital Chester and The Manchester Institute of Health and Performance (MIHP).
